So before I ever clicked on the the "publish" button, I was dreaming of having my own blog. But not just ANY kind of blog. I wanted to create an honest and successful one that held the potential to actually make it in the blog-o-sphere.

I remember my first attempt in college-LAME. I can't believe that I actually wrote about decorating your dorm room. Then I started to get into the fashion world and I made my second attempt at a beauty/OOTD blog-LAMER. I seriously have no idea what I was thinking because I practically live in sweatpants and fuzzy slippers.

But hey, I feel cute- I look cute. So I'm gonna wear my cozy clothes.

Now I'm a wife and a mama to two sweet babes. Suddenly, I have patience and enthusiasm for tasks I would have rolled my eyes at years ago. Tell me if you get like this too:

I get a weird amount of satisfaction from cutting a perfectly shaped dino pb&j sandwich.

Wait- hold the jelly.

My oldest HATES jelly.

I sincerely enjoy cleaning my home. I LOVE A CLEAN HOME. Clean floors are my thing.

And I also have this continuous urge to make something, but my husband said no more babies. So...there goes that.

My maddening urge to make something was my inspiration to start writing. But my realization that motherhood unites, that’s my number 1 reason to start a blog. We are united by joy, love, cheerios, peppa pig, and the wonder that we get to experience with our small humans. We also share these intense feelings of guilt, anxiety, and fear for our small humans- I mean, are we even doing this right?

I've also realized that it divides.

There's no right or wrong way of doing this.

There's only "YOUR WAY" and "MY WAY”, and I want to share my way with the world.

And what better place to share my fails and triumps with you than my very own table.

Hence, the birth of "Mesa De Miramontes".

Like I said earlier, this is my dream. A secret dream that I've only ever shared with my husband because I never thought I would have anything of value for the world to read and stay interested in. But my writing is electric and completely dependent on my mood. I swing from the depths of despair of having to pull on a pair of SPANXs for date night, to the tumultuous reality of #momlife. No matter my mood or my writing topic, I will always pour out raw emotions and the absolute truth. I believe in creating a welcoming table for all women, mothers, and parents to join together at. There is a seat for everyone at Mesa De Miramontes. Will you join us?
